The Hacker’s Guide visited all of the 18-hole public golf courses in Minnesota + 35 courses in WI (283 courses) during 2009. Each course was reviewed utilizing the Hacker Rating System.The Hacker’s Guide is the first complete state-by-state golf course rating system since the United States Golf Association (USGA) established par and slope ratings.

Detour from LaCrosse/laCrescent Area:

  • Take Hwy. 16 towards Hokah for about 3 miles and take right onto County Road 21

  • Follow County Road 21 for 6.8 miles and take left onto County Road 25

  • Follow for 1.5 miles and take left back onto Hwy. 16.

  • Follow for .8 miles and take right to Valley High

Detour from Houston Area:

  • Take Hwy 76 N and    take right onto County Road 21

  • Follow for about 7 miles and take right onto County Road 25

  • Follow for 1.5 miles and take left onto Hwy 16

  • Follow for .8 miles and take right to Valley High

Valley High Golf Club is an 18-hole public course. We are located a short, beautiful 18 minute drive from La Crosse, WI on Historic Bluff Country Scenic Byway #16. Our full bar and dining facilities are open daily. Amenities include a pro shop, 60 carts available for large outings and tournaments,  driving range, practice putting green, and banquet facilities for over 150 people.
